How???

1.  Used southernsavers.com and couponmom.com to find coupon match-ups to items already on sale (especially "buy one, get one free").

2.  Found the coupons online or in my stash for each item.  Was able to stack manufacturer and store coupons for most items.

3.  Made a list using couponmom.com and printed it off.

4.  Used a $5 off any purchase of $30 or more that I received in the mail for being a member of their kid's soccer club.

5.  Used a coupon for $10 off your purchase of a $50 gas card.  Gas card transaction is not included above because it was simply trading gas money for a card with the same amount of gas money on it.  : )

Salon Quality Hair Products For $1 Each!

On my weekly trip to Bi-Lo, I noticed a grocery cart parked at the front of the store with salon hair care products marked down to $1 each!  All of the above products were purchased for $27.00.  Truly a blessing for a mom of 6 girls!!  : )

Eat From The Pantry Challenge (March 2011)

During the month of March 2011,
our goal is to spend as little as possible
on groceries and eat from our pantry/freezer.
We've got quite a stockpile going
from couponing in Jan & Feb,
as well as a freezer full of meals
from my dear mother in preparation
for baby #6 joining our family in
just 7 short weeks!

How???

1.  Used southernsavers.com and couponmom.com
to find coupon match-ups to items already on sale
(especially "buy one, get one free").

2.  Found the coupons online or in my stash for each item.
Was able to stack manufacturer and store coupons for most items.

3.  Made a list using couponmom.com and printed it off.

4.  Purchased the items in 2 separate transactions on 2 different days.

5.  Used the $5 off a purchase of $30 found
in the free Wed paper for both transactions.

6.  Used the Publix $5 of purchase of 20 General Mills items
found online for both transactions.

I did not run into any snags except on the second transaction.
The cashier did not allow me to use the $5 of 20 items with
Publix store coupons on any of those items.  I didn't realize
I was using 2 store coupons by doing that.  ; )  I did use a
couple of manufacturer coupons though.

Health Issues & Low Grocery Budget

Ok...so we've been cruising along for about 10 weeks averaging $60 a week on food.  We've been surviving but not thriving.  Mom is currently 31 weeks pregnant with baby #6 and was recently diagnosed with pregnancy induced anemia.  Children #3 and #4 are both gluten-intolerant.  Child #4 is a very picky eater and has been losing weight.  Her BMI barely registers on the growth charts for her age.  Husband is craving meat and mentions how much he misses pork chops, hamburgers, grilled chicken, etc.  It looks like we are going to have to increase our meat consumption which will raise our weekly average.  No way around it.  : )  We'll see what we can find on sale...
